Youth of the Year/Member of the Year Criteria

Youth of the Year will be ages 13 up to 18. Once you have your 18th birthday, you are no longer eligible for the Youth award, but become eligible for the Member award. Member of the Year will be from age 18 to ???
Winners will be determined by points accrued from January 1st to the November meeting. Points will be gained by attendance/participation in Club events and activities. These including meetings, committee meetings, helping at the horse show, helping at the Play Day, participating with the Club in parades, on trail rides, etc. Points will be given for working extra shifts at the Horse Show. Shifts are 2 hours and you will get a point for each shift. The Horse Show Committee will maintain worker schedules.
Both Youth and Members will be responsible for signing the sign in sheets that will be at all events. It is solely your responsibility to sign in. Points will be tabulated and winners will be announced at the November Banquet. Winners will receive a nice award to be determined by the Committee.

                    2020 ISSC ROYALTY CONTEST Rules:
ANY ISSC members who have paid their dues for 2020 are invited to compete in the Royalty Contest. 
Age Divisions:
QUEEN- Ages 16 & over as of January 1, 2020
PRINCESS- Ages 11-15 as of January 1, 2020
Little Miss- Ages 10 & Under as of January 1, 2020
Contestants must complete the application questionnaire and attend the APRIL General Meeting on APRIL 15, 2020, where they will have the opportunity to present a two minute speech to the members.  Criteria for the speech will be taken from 5 questions they must answer on their application.  After the presentations, the general membership will vote for candidates by secret ballot.  The winners will be announced during lunch break on Saturday of the June Show. 
Requirements for the Queen & Her Court
 You must be a member in good standing in the ISSC for the 2020 year.         (Your dues must be paid) You must work one shift on both Saturday and Sunday of the June Show for a total of 2 shifts.  If we ride in the Hill City 4th of July Parade, the QUEEN MUST ride.  Her Royal Court is encouraged to participate but is not required to do so.  You must be able to do a Royalty Ride at the June Show. 5. You must participate in 60% of remaining Club activities for the 2020 year.  This includes a minimum of 3 general meetings. 
Winners will receive a sash and crown which they are allowed to keep.  When wearing the sash and crown, they will be expected to represent the Club in a respectful manner and dress in clean western attire, free from holes or tears. 
This contest and rules are for the year 2020 and are NOT part of the WSCA Royalty contest.  Anyone interested in competing for the WSCA Royalty Contest must contact the WSCA and abide by their rules and requirements.
